Full Moon above Poolbeg Lighthouse
It was a beautiful crisp spring evening along the Great South Wall in Dublin, I planned this shot of the Full Moon above the Poolbeg Lighthouse for a long time but before the weather had always interfered with cloud and sea mist obscuring the shot.
The full moon only rises in the area I wanted once every six months and the window for the picture was very brief as I only had the width of the Great South wall to work with.
Thankfully this March evening in 2017 the forecast was for clear skies, and as the sun was setting behind me I watched as the full moon started illuminating above the horizon and rose towards the perfect place in the sky to be captured above the Poolbeg lighthouse in this original and iconic print.
